If you think that our work is worthwhile, there are a number of ways you can get involved:

Child Sponsorship

We are currently running a sponsorship programme with our partners Akany Avoko Faravohitra.

Starting at just £15/month for part-sponsorship, or £30/month for full sponsorship, you can provide for a vulnerable child who has found sanctuary at AAF.

Your sponsorship covers their accommodation, food, medical costs and school fees, changing their life and future in a sustainable way. We will provide you with regular updates on their progress, as well as photos and the opportunity to visit them. Email for more information.

Fundraising Events
A marathon, a cycling challenge, a mountain climb - whatever takes your fancy, you can do it in aid of us! SSFA Trustee, Jill Rzym, got the ball rolling by cycling from London to Paris in 2014 and raising £1500 in the process. We would love to hear from any other interested individuals who would like to take part in an event in aid of Small Steps For Africa. We provide marketing and fundraising advice, as well as much needed moral support!

If your company or community group is looking for a charity to support this year, Small Steps For Africa welcomes collaborations with organisations, big and small. You can pick a specific project that you wish to support, or allow us to prioritise funding according to our assessment at the time. We will come in and give a presentation to your staff, and invite you to one of our events to give a public thank you for your hard work on our behalf.

Volunteer at our events

We hold a number of fundraising events across the year, from afternoon teas to horse shows. We are always looking for an extra pair of helping hands, so keep your eyes peeled for details of any events we're holding in your area, and drop us an email if you think you might be able to help.

A number of our supporters donate monthly by standing order, either specifying a particular project they would like to help with, or asking us to allocate the money. For details of how to set up a standing order in aid of SSFA, please email
